Heavenly Jewels Chorale set for Ayeyi Ndwom24 Concert

Heavenly Jewels Chorale, a non-denominational chorale group is gearing for the seventh edition of its annual Ayeyi Ndwom concert (ANC) scheduled for the National Theatre on Saturday, November 23 at 5:00pm.

With the theme “Grateful Hearts”, this year's event promises an evening of inspiring gospel music, soulful performances, and profound spiritual renewal.

For the first time, the concert will also feature performances from gospel singers, Empress Gifty and Francis Amo and the collaboration is expected to revive the energies of patrons with an eclectic blend of traditional and contemporary gospel sounds.

Speaking at the launch which took place at Think Media Studios in Accra on Friday, October 11, Mr David Agyefi-Mensah, Chairman of Heavenly Jewels Chorale, said this year’s event dubbed, Jewels Edition is to remind everyone of the importance of gratitude.

“This marks the seventh edition of our cherished annual concert, and it has been six incredible years since our group was formed in 2018. We have grown, learned, and shared the gift of music, while being anchored by commitment to glorifying God through our art,” he said.

Mr Agyefi-Mensah also revealed exciting plans for this year's concert, “We're introducing something entirely new to choral performance by blending drama with our signature choral ministrations.

“We aim to create an unparalleled experience that will inspire both our live audience and online viewers”.

He also mentioned that relevant Bible quotations will serve as a guiding thread throughout the concert, reminding patrons of God’s blessings and the vital importance of cultivating a heart filled with gratitude.

“Our goal is to deliver a transformative experience that transcends mere entertainment. We want to inspire our audience to reflect on their blessings and embrace a lifestyle of gratitude,” he added.

Formed in 2018, Heavenly Jewels Chorale is non-denominational group with over 100 members from across the country.

The group, which has Professor Yaw Sekyi-Baidoo as its choir director released its maiden song, No Weapon in 2022.
