In recent times, the Ghanaian music industry has gotten fiercely competitive but new entrant, Rashelle Blue, is more than determined to leave her mark on the music scene and establish herself as a rising star in the Afro pop genre.

To this end, Rashelle, who was born in Germany to Ghanaian parents but is mostly based in the UK, has released a brand new single titled Nnasoka. 

Although Rashelle hardly speaks any of the Ghanaian languages, she proves her versatility but managing to express herself in some local languages namely,Ga, Twi, and Ewe.

In Nnasoka, Rashelle sings about how much she misses her lover and wishes he would get back to her. She adds that her lover has left her for too long and she is singing the song as a message to him, informing him of how lonely she is.

Rashelle’s music reflects her RnB/Pop background as well as her African roots which gives Nnasoka an authentic afro pop vibe and the rhythm and professional production of the song makes it fun to listen to.

Speaking to Showbiz, Rashelle, real name Rachel Arhin, said she was poised to build a path to the top of her music career, adding that she recently graduated from the University of East London, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Creative Industries.

This according to her, has empowered her with the requisite skills to be both knowledgeable and successful in all aspects of the entertainment industry from creative writing to film production and music.

The Uk-based singer/songwriter, commercial model, and aspiring actress, said she hoped to bring a new style to music in Ghana by fusing Ghanaian and African rhythms with RnB/Pop influences to create wonderful tunes that would put African music on the map.

Rashelle Blue’s journey as a singer began when she was five years old, performing at private parties and weddings.

Since then, she established herself as a professional artiste by joining a music group at the age of 14, where she recorded and performed at venues, such as the Café Keese in Hamburg City, alongside her band members.

The afro pop singer’s first official EP titled, Two Steps at a Time, included singles such as Ajeii which featured Castro and Basa Basa, which featured Bisa Kdei.
