I fear NDC will not accept 2024 elections should NPP break the 8, says Mr Logic

Artiste manager and entertainment critic, Mr Logic has disclosed that his greatest fear at the moment is the thought of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) rejecting results of next year’s elections should the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) win to break the 8.

Mr Logic explained that it was based on such fears that even though he admires and has lots of respect for the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a fine gentleman, he would have preferred Kennedy Agyapong as the elected flag bearer of the NPP.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz recently as a panelist, Mr Logic further described next year’s elections as “takashie” for which a personality like Kennedy Agyapong who could match the NDC boot for boot in that regard is the best candidate to lead the party.

“…That is not to say I dislike Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, I do like him, he is a fine gentleman but the current situation demands “takashi” because breaking the 8 is a matter of takashi and this is something that NPP must expect.

“And that is why I sometimes get afraid that should we go for elections and NPP breaks the 8, will the NDC accept defeat? That is my biggest worry oooo,” he stated.

Mr Logic pointed out that former President Mahama, who is the NDC’s presidential candidate is not an easy ride adding, “We all know NDC understands boot for boot and in that regard,  Kennedy Agyapong best understands such a language”.

Dr. Bawumia was elected flagbearer after receiving 61.43% of votes cast by nearly 200,000 NPP delegates nationwide in elections held on Saturday, November 3. (This is the biggest honour of my life - Dr. Bawumia on being elected NPP flagbearer)

It had been predicted Bawumia was going to win with a larger margin but as promised, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central gave him a “showdown”. He came second with second with 37.41%.
