It's all an act - Shatta Wale on controversies
THOSE who have thought that the controversies Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale was involved in were publicity stunts have been proved right as the Freedom hitmaker says everything has been an act.
Speaking on Peace FM's Entertainment Review show last Saturday, October 26, Shatta Wale said, “I have been acting all along and it is sad that Ghanaians didn’t see it. I created all the controversies to get the attention I needed and I am glad I did get the impact."
According to Shatta Wale, if Ghanaians knew him well, they would not have bothered themselves about some of his utterances and actions.
Citing the example of his fracas with Stonebwoy at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in May this year, Shatta Wale said there was no way he could have created any scene on stage.
“There was no way I was going to cause any harm on stage. I should have just been given the opportunity to do whatever I wanted to do. I knew the platform I was on and I was not going to do anything bad,” he said.
Moving forward, Shatta Wale said everything is now in the past and he would not be going back to his old ways.
“I no longer post videos insulting anyone, I am trying to stay cool as possible. I have gotten all the attention I needed and I am glad for the support I have from my huge fan base,” he said.
Asked if he had any fears, the My Level hitmaker said no explaining that he was a wise musician who saves a lot.
“I know I am not going to last forever so I am doing my possible best to save money for the future. I am running a lot of businesses to live a comfortable life when I am no longer active,” he said.
