I was mocked on social media for being childless– Selly Galley

At the christening ceremony of her twins on Saturday, August 31, Ghanaian actress Selly Galley-Fiawoo opened up about the struggles she and her husband, Praye Tietia, faced in their quest to become parents including being mocked as a barren woman on social media for years.

However, after a nine-year wait, the couple was finally blessed with twins, as proof of God's faithfulness.

Selly expressed heartfelt gratitude for this blessing, recalling the painful experiences of public ridicule and scrutiny on social media due to their inability to conceive earlier in their marriage.

She fondly shared the story of their love journey of 16 years, and how she fervently looked forward to have kids during the period to strengthen the bond.

“Last year, I cried a lot, but it is all to the glory of God. About 16 years ago, this man met me and his life changed. I am the most special thing that has ever happened to him. But here we are so much in love, blessed and we were lacking something so special.

“The bond that we know this is what completes us and our love and it was nine difficult years, but God did not shame us. I had been mocked on social media several times. The comments were hard to ignore, here we are, blessed with twins,” she said in a video shared on Instagram.
