Is Shatta Wale a shoemaker or a plumber? Timaya quizzes
Nigerian musician Timaya has responded to his Ghanaian counterpart Shatta Wale after the latter trolled him on social media and described him as a shame.
Shatta Wale in an earlier tweet said it is a shame that the music industry has an artiste like Timaya, adding that he should be out there, selling plantain chips.
His comments were in response to a fan’s comment calling Timaya the king of African dancehall following his widely publicised comments about the superstar status of another Nigerian singer Wizkid.
The fan @teolee_ wrote "Wizkid alone is more than a whole Ghana….Timaya alone is more than all Africa dancehall... Timaya king of Africa dancehall king.”
Shatta Wale in response tweeted “Tell Timaya to come to Ghana and see what’s Dancehall and stop that nonsense...
“It’s a shame you have an artiste like Timaya, he should have still sold his plantain chips.. Mumu.”
However, Timaya in response to a fan about whether he would record a diss song for Shatta, threw shade at the Ghanaian musician, claiming he did not know who he was or anything about his career
He said in a video; “Make a diss track for Shatta Wale... Please this Shatta Wale who is this Shatta Wale, I dont know him until, I just dey hear for internet Shatta Wale.. I dont know that guy. Does he sing? Is he a shoemaker or is he a plumber?... I dont know him".
