Jackie celebrates b’day with Ebenezer Hills JSS

Star actress, Jackie Appiah is not just beautiful but beautiful at heart too.

To celebrate her birthday which fell on December 5, she decided to put smiles on the faces of students and teachers of the Ebenezer Hills Junior Secondary School, located off the Accra-Akosombo road.

This she did by registering all 163 final year students of the school, giving scholarship to five teachers of the school to study at IPMC to impact their ICT knowledge on the students, creating a football field for the students (provided a pole and net), football jerseys, table tennis equipment and ceiling fans for their classrooms.

Speaking to Showbiz after the presentation, Jackie said she was grateful to God for making it possible for her to lend a helping hand to the school.

“I am happy I have been able to pull this off, the students were very excited to see me and they were very happy with what I have provided for them, I believe they will make good use of them.”

Asked why she chose that particular school, Jackie said she told her manager to look for a school that needs help in a poor area and she (her manager) came up with the Ebenezer Hills School.

“I guess we made a very good choice because the teachers and students really needed all the things we provided for them and I am sure they will make very good use of them,” she said with a smile.

So birthday and charity work aside, what has the award-winning actress been up to? “It’s been work, work, work, I’m even going on set next week, basically that’s what it’s been like.”
