Joe Mettle: Most planes that come to Ghana are not the best
Ghanaian gospel musician Joe Mettle has voiced his discontent with the quality of airplanes that operate flights to Ghana from international destinations.
He wrote in a post on X: "Hi family. So there’s something that’s been bothering me and I wanted some help. I’ve had the privilege to travel a bit and realized that most of the planes that come to Ghana are not the best at all compared to the ones that goes to other African countries why is that?"

According to Joe Mettle, Ghana is often allocated inferior aircraft compared to other countries with similar or even shorter flight distances.
He pointed out that this disparity is particularly striking given the relatively high cost of air tickets to Ghana. ( Read also: I don’t poke my nose into people's business —Joe Mettle, Collaborating with secular artistes is a door I don’t want to open-says Joe Mettle)
In other words, despite paying premium prices, Ghanaian travelers are often subjected to subpar aircraft, a situation that Mettle finds unacceptable.
"And many times, the flight distance is even way shorter, and they still give them better planes. Is it because we take anything they give us and do not insist on being given better ones?"
And oh boy these tickets are not cheap," he wrote.
The multiple award winning artiste, Joe Mettle has been in the music industry for over 20 years and not once has he been involved in any kind of controversy.

Ideally, it shouldn’t be strange for one who sings about the Word to live a controversy-free life. But, truth be told, some of his colleagues in the Gospel fraternity have been in the news for the wrong reasons on a good number of times.
“I don’t know, but I try to stay out of trouble. That is basically what it is. I don’t put my mouth into people’s matters; I do not comment on anything.
“Sometimes, the problem is that we want to speak our minds about every little thing. I try not to do any of that. I don’t poke my nose into other peoples’ business. I stay in my small corner and try to be as simple as possible,” he told Graphic Showbiz in an interview last year.
