Julie Juu wanted by police

The two complainants, Grace Okyere and Alex Dyeabour say they were ripped off by Ghc6,500 and Ghc7,000 respectively.

Narrating her case to Showbiz, Grace Okyere who claims to fellowship with Julie Ju at Samira Church in Kasoa said she had gone for prayers and to seek spiritual assistance from her pastor to enable her achieve her long term dream of  travelling abroad.

In the course of narrating her difficulty in securing a visa to her pastor, Julie Juu who was then present with the pastor offered to give her the needed assistance.

According to her, Julie Juu convinced her that through her connections with some officials at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporations, she had assisted many people to travel abroad.

“I was convinced and took Julie Juu together with some of the church elders to my brother’s place at Labadi who paid an amount of Ghc6,500 to her”

Grace Okyere said few days after the payment was made, Julie Juu took her to GTV where both of them took photographs and showed her some passports of other people she was helping to obtain visas.

“It is almost a year now since I paid the money to Julie Juu and she keeps telling me stories. The other day she took me to see a spiritualist at Nsawam where I was given a bath because  she was having problems with my visa but gave me the hope that soon she will get it for me”, she  said.

According to Grace, all five telephone lines she used to call Julie Juu on have been off.

Another victim Alex Dyeabour a film vendor, who claims he gave Gh ¢7,000 to Julie Juu said he was introduced  by Grace Okyere a close friend of his . According to Alex he didn’t hesitate in paying up ¢70,00  because he trusted his friend Grace Okyere.

“I trusted Grace Okyere that is the reason I gave such an amount out but now that both of us have been duped by one person, we hope  the police can help arrest Julie Ju so that our money can be refunded.
