Kemidar releases ‘Dedzo’, A tribute to Endurance Grand

Ghanaian Afro-fusion artiste Kemidar has released a new single, Dedzo, a tribute dedicated to dancer Endurance Grand, marking what he describes as a deeply personal moment in his musical journey.

The track, now available on major streaming platforms, centres on admiration and reverence. In the song, Kemidar celebrates a woman he portrays as divinely blessed and worthy of honour, weaving themes of affection and gratitude into a layered Afro-fusion sound.

With warm melodies and expressive vocal delivery, Dedzo signals a growing maturity in the artiste’s style. The production blends lush instrumentation with contemporary Afro rhythms, underscoring his musical training and creative direction.

Born Obed Asamoah, the 27-year-old musician is originally from Kukurantumi and currently resides in Weija. He studied Music at the University of Ghana, Legon, an academic background that has shaped his technical approach and strengthened his compositional skills.

Beyond his vocals, Kemidar is also a guitarist and producer, allowing him to take full control of his sound. His integration of live instrumentation into modern Afro-fusion arrangements has become a defining feature of his work.

Industry observers note that Dedzo stands out not only as a tribute but also as a strategic release that positions the rising artiste within a competitive music space where authenticity and emotional storytelling are increasingly valued.
