KK Fosu and Keche Performed at ‘Expressions of Accra’

Keche at the Expressions of AccraThough it was a fashion show, patrons at last Saturday’s Expressions of Accra event were also treated to thrilling performances by hiplife duo, Keche and highlife star, K.K Fosu.
The talented duo, made up of Joshua Ampah and Andrew Cudjoe, wowed the audience with their Azonto- inspired tunes and stagecraft.

They performed some of their popular songs such as Body Lotion, Sokode, Pressure, the popular Alungutugui and the recently- released Googo Gaaga.

If music is the food of the soul, as the popular saying goes, then live band music is definitely the fresh meal. That was the stuff K.K Fosu fed patrons when he hit the stage for his performance.

Backed by the Patchbay band, a collection of brilliant young players who masterfully delivered on the night, KK Fosu got many to sing along with him to some of his popular songs like Six O’clock, Sudwe, Kyere Me, Anadwo Yede and Number One.

The fashion show, which almost turned into a mini music event during his 15- minute performance, got KK Fosu to prove that highlife music still had a strong following among the youth despite the stiff competition from hiplife and Azonto.

For many on the night, the highlight of his performance came when he invited former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings to join him on stage and the latter did some skilful dance steps to the admiration of all.

K. K. Fosu was not just a pleasure to listen to but a delight to watch as his output  on the night  recalled  memories of his hey- days when his songs used to ride the popularity waves.

K.K Fosu launched himself as an exciting performer some years back when he released his debut album Adwen, with some help from the Sounds Unlimited Jazz Band
