The play delves into the lives of three friends who are determined to seek greener pastures inthe USA believing that their fortunes will improve overseas.

Their conviction is bolstered when they receive an American dollar gift, sparking the question: should they be more convinced, or are they merely chasing a mirage?

Featuring an amazing cast, including Kwabena Hinson, Emmanuel Osei Mensah, George Mingle, Aurelia Duse-Deegbe, Martin Legend Agyapong, Cosmos Churchill Rockson Akator and Agbenyefia Mabel, the play aims to shed light on the struggles faced by young people who believe their home country has nothing to offer them.

Sharing insights into the theme of the play, Kuta Body Alone told Graphic Showbiz the play tackles the complex emotions and challenges of pursuing dreams abroad, ultimately questioning whether the pursuit of a better life in another country is always the best option.

He said:  “Most of the youth feel the only way they can make it is to ‘jakpa’ to another country because they are unable to make ends meet in their homeland. And as a result of this, they do all they can, spend huge sums of money to leave the country.

“This is what the play touches on—to expose the realities that come with deciding to leave the shores of your land to seek greener pastures somewhere”, he explained.

Some of the works Kuta Body Alone is credited with include Sand in My Sugar and Double S, a play that explores the struggles of a young couple who did not take the time to understand their genotypes until it was time for them to tie the knot.
