She impressed judges Okyeame Kwame, Feli Nuna and Samini enough to be declared winner.

She took away a prize of GH¢5,000 and shopping vouchers. The first and second-runners up received GH¢3,000 and GH¢2,000, respectively and shopping vouchers.

Music talent hunt shows have been prominent on the entertainment landscape in this country over the last 10 years or so.

Competitions such as Stars of the Future, TV3 Mentor, Appietus Idols, Voice Factory, MTN Hit-Maker and Vodafon Icons have helped discover several talents for the music business.

These talents include Wiyaala, Efya, Cee, Irene Logan, Kaakie, Adina, Yaa Yaa, Koo Ntakara, Miriam and Kesse.

Apart from being part of the general effort to bring out fresh talents, the contest was also to help build affinity with young shoppers who would eventually become the core target of the mall.

The competition was open to everybody who is 18 years old and above.

Competitors were required to spend GH¢100 in any shop in the mall to qualify for the contest.

The Marketing Manager at the mall, Mr Michael Konadu, said patronage of the music contest was encouraging.

“It has been a big success and will guide us as to how to go about similar events in the future,” Mr Konadu stated.
