He mentioned that being united was not enough to ensure a progressive leadership until they learnt to tolerate each other to aid their work.

“There are people who can be united but cannot tolerate each other and work together but I charge this new elected MUSIGA executives to learn to tolerate and work together if they want to move forward,” he said.

He indicated that the new executives have lots of work to do considering the numerous challenges of the union particularly prior to the election of its new executives.

He was, however, hopeful that with a determined mind, the new leadership can change the fortunes of MUSIGA.

Mr Okraku Mantey also offered his full support to the new executives, noting that the Ministry had allocated an office for matters concerning MUSIGA.

The Deputy Minister, who is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Ayensuano constituency encouraged musicians to appreciate their craft since it is financially rewarding.

“Musicians have made fortunes from music and I would advise that it is taken seriously. If you think there is no money in music ask the likes of Sarkodie to tell you how much they are making,” he said.
