See the areas that will experience power outages on Sunday (May 31)
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced power outages across the Tema and Accra West Regions for Sunday, May 31, 2026, involving both planned and emergency maintenance exercises.
In the Tema Region, a planned maintenance exercise will take place on Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
The affected areas include Wang Heng Cement, Goil Bitumen, Leonardo, Adjetey Ansah, Meridian FM, Manheam, Abonkor, U-Compound, Naval Base, Unilever, GTMC, Irani Brothers, Amandi, Asempa Cold Stores, Jon Moore, Cal Bank, Asaswa, Kaas, Movelle, Ocean Fare, La Bianca, Leyland, Oyoko Euro Parts, Mankadze Cold Stores, Pioneer Aluminum, Central Medical Stores, Akasanoma and surrounding areas.
The notice, originally issued on Monday, May 25, states that the exercise is necessary to improve service delivery.
In the Accra West Region, ECG will undertake emergency maintenance on Sunday from 9:00pm to 5:00pm. The affected areas include Kotoku, Papase, Chinto, Pokrom, Obuodaka, Amanfrom, Mariakrom, Agyanoa, Doblo, Medie, Sapeiman, Hebron, Amasaman and surrounding areas.
The emergency maintenance, announced on Saturday, May 30, is being carried out for improved service delivery, according to the notice.
ECG has expressed regret for the inconvenience that will arise as a result of these exercises. Affected customers have been advised to make alternative arrangements for power-dependent activities during the specified hours.
The company assured that power supply would be restored to all affected areas upon completion of the scheduled works.
