Male musicians under pressure from female fans – Jim Pee
NOT a lot of male artistes talk about what they go through at the hands of their female fans but Highlife artiste, Jim Pee, says they face a lot of pressure from them.
“I am in the industry and I know what I am talking about. The pressure from female fans is so serious that if you are not disciplined you will end up having an affair with them,” he said.
According to Jim Pee, although he is not in the league of Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Kwesi Arthur or Kofi Kinaata the pressure he gets from women is still overwhelming.
“I get a lot of nude pictures from these female fans all the time but I am so disciplined that I don’t fall for it. I have always told myself that women are not going to be a distraction for me because I know what I am in for. Once you make women your first priority you will never go far,” he said.
He explained that it takes a disciplined musician not to take advantage of his female fans. “The female fans will always come in their numbers if you are famous and most especially if you are handsome. Some would like to date you and others just want to flirt with you,” he said.
Talking about his music career, Jim Pee, who has been in the industry for five years and is still trying to find his feet said the future is bright for him because he does conscious music.
“I have songs such as Ruff Rider featuring Keche, Power, and Heaven already out and I’m planning to release other powerful songs,” he said.
Jim Pee, whose real name is Gyimah Peterson started his musical journey as a keyboardist from the church and later moved to join the choir.
