MultiChoice Ghana slashes decoder price ahead of FIFA Club World Cup
MultiChoice Ghana, operators of DStv, GOtv and Showmax has announced a reduction in the price of its DStv decoder, cutting the cost from GH¢169 to GH¢89 as part of a new promotional campaign ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The GH¢80 discount is expected to make access to premium sports and entertainment content more affordable for new customers, as excitement builds towards the global football tournament.
Announcing the price drop in a statement on Tuesday, the Managing Director of MultiChoice Ghana, Mr Alex Okyere, said the decision reflects the company’s commitment to bringing quality video entertainment into more Ghanaian homes.
“We are happy the economy is rebounding, and We Got You!” Mr Okyere stated. “This decoder price cut is part of our broader effort to ensure that more Ghanaians can enjoy the world-class content available on our DStv, GOtv and Showmax platforms.”
The announcement forms part of MultiChoice’s We Got You campaign, which also includes a free subscription upgrade offer for customers who renew their DStv or GOtv packages between June 16 and July 31, 2025.
