'Music Is My Life Concert 2026' has once again stamped its authority as one of Ghana’s biggest festivals to open the year.
Now in its 11th year, the annual concert returned to its home grounds at Big Base Pub, Tema Community 2, drawing massive excitement from the moment the full lineup was announced.
Over 10,000 music fans braved heat, sweat, dust, and long hours on their feet to witness a night of nonstop performances.
True to tradition, Mimlife Records created a platform where upcoming artistes shared the stage with A-list stars, reinforcing the concert’s reputation as a career-shaping event.
Sista Afia delivered one of the night’s standout performances, lighting up the stage with back-to-back hits.
Sarkodie thrilled fans with a powerful headline set, highlighted by a viral azonto moment that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
Surprise appearances from Sister Deborah, an energetic set from Lasmid, a jaw-dropping performance by Kweku Smoke, and a strong Asakaa representation by Jay Bahd, Reggie, Kwaku DMC, and Skyface SDW kept the energy high.
Performances from Mimlife Records artistes Kimilist and Mista Myles further showcased the label’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent.
The night closed memorably with King Promise, who took the stage around 5am and performed his biggest hits to a still-charged audience.
Top DJs including DJ Metrix, DJ Flat, DJ Speech, DJ Obii, and DJ Shaker kept the energy high with nonstop music, while MCs Abeiku Sarkcess, Kilson1, MC Branding, and MC Lil Kem expertly steered the event, hyping the crowd and seamlessly ushering performers on stage.
Speaking after the event, Eric Asmah, General Manager of Mimlife Records, expressed excitement over the turnout and promised an even bigger edition next year, as CEO Mubarak Nkrumah (K9)’s vision for a “first-of-its-kind” 2026 concert was fully realized.
