Nana Ama McBrown, others honoured at Ghana Leadership Awards

In a night of celebration and recognition,  Ghanaian media personality and actress Nana Ama McBrown has been named the Media Personality of the Year" at the Ghana Leadership Awards alongside 29 individuals.

The ceremony, held last Saturday at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, brought together distinguished leaders and influential personalities from various sectors to celebrate exceptional achievements and leadership.

The Ghana Leadership Awards, first launched in 2009, is an annual event that highlights and rewards individuals who make significant contributions across fields such as politics, religion, economics, traditional leadership, journalism, and business.

Since its inception, the awards have become a symbol of excellence, honoring those who exhibit leadership that advances both Ghana and the African continent at large.

Nana Ama McBrown, who has built an impressive career in media and entertainment, was recognized for her role in uplifting the media landscape in Ghana.

Known for her captivating presence and ability to connect with audience, she has made a lasting impact on television, film, and radio, garnering a devoted following and exemplifying professionalism in her craft.

Additionally, several other leaders were honoured for their contributions to various fields.

Engr. Richard Ben Debrah, President of the Local Government Service Engineers Association, was awarded "Ghana's Most Outstanding Industry Leadership Award" for his remarkable contributions to engineering within the local government.

Apostle Okoh Agyemang received an international award for his outstanding leadership and humanitarian efforts, while Maame Ode, President of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), and Mr. Samuel Afotey Otu were recognized for their exceptional leadership in the judicial sector.

The Ghana Leadership Awards has celebrated some of the country’s most influential figures over the years, including former and current presidents like H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, H.E. John Mahama, and H.E. J.J. Rawlings.

Other past awardees include former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, former Auditor-General Yaw Daniel Domelevo, JUSAG President Alex Nartey, Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Bagbin, and many others who have left a lasting legacy on Ghanaian society.
