Nigeria’s Hilda Baci receives plaque for new Guinness Record holder
Now popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey also known as Hilda Baci has officially received her plaque from Guinness World Records for the longest marathon cooking.
Baci made this announcement in a post on her official social media pages yesterday, June 19.

She tweeted, “Our plaque is here”.
She was certified as the new record holder for the longest cooking by an individual with 93 hours and 11 minutes.
In the video clip making rounds on social media, she received the award plaque packaged in a box and delivered by a courier service official.
Social media users have since flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages.

On Tuesday, June 13, Guinness World Records confirmed Hilda Baci’s cooking record following what they said was a thorough review of all the evidence.
"After reviewing all the footage, we're delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual)
The post reads, “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.

The previous record of 87 hours 45 minutes was set by Lata Tondon (India) in 2019.
