Office of Diaspora Affairs partners Chef Abbys to showcase Ghanaian cuisine globally
The Office of Diaspora Affairs under the Presidency has given its official endorsement to Chef Abbys' brand and Diaspora Culinary Initiatives.
Led by Director Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), this partnership aims to showcase Ghana's culinary prowess and strengthen ties with the global diaspora community.
Key objectives of the collaboration is to highlight the country's rich cooking heritage and unique indigenous African food content that has garnered attention from people across Africa and beyond and collaborate with Chef Abbys to amplify her initiatives, integrate her brand into diaspora engagement programme, and expand Ghana's influence in international cultural diplomacy.
This partnership aligns with the Office's theme, "Build Bridges & Break Barriers," and supports the government's initiatives, including the 24-hour Economy agenda and the Black Star Experience, which spotlight hospitality and creative industries as drivers of youth employment, investment, and diaspora collaboration ¹ ².
A portion of the agreement states that, "As a token of our endorsement, the Office of the Diaspora Affairs will work with your team to amplify the visibility of these impact initiatives across our global diaspora networks, encourage participation by both public and private sector partners and provide protocol facilitation to ensure broad-based stakeholder engagement. This will amplify media and content collaboration."
