The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance exercises across the Accra West and East regions for Monday, while engineers in the Tema Region continue to work on network faults affecting several communities.

In the Accra West Region, power will be interrupted from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, June 29, affecting Nsufa, NIC, Anyaa Deeper Life, Anyaa Market, and surrounding areas. The maintenance forms part of ECG's ongoing efforts to improve service delivery, and the company has apologised for the inconvenience.

A similar planned maintenance exercise in the Accra East Region will also run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, affecting Tseaddo Roundabout, New England, Sophada, La Trust, Pantang, Shalom Estate, Mr. Smith, Focos Hospital, and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, customers in the Tema Region continue to grapple with unplanned outages caused by a network fault. In a statement issued on Sunday, ECG informed residents that the outage was due to a fault in the network. Affected areas include Saglemi Housing, RSG, Pharmanova, Fenice Metal, Boiko, Lakpleku, Rainbow Paints, Bundase Military Training Camp, Fan Milk, Gbewaa Bitumen, Toyota Warehouse, Tropical Cable, Multi Pac, and surrounding areas.

ECG has assured affected customers that engineers have been deployed to rectify the fault and restore supply as quickly as possible. The company has also urged customers to exercise patience as both planned and unplanned outages are addressed.

The company has urged customers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements and remain patient as the scheduled works are carried out. Engineers are also working to restore power in the Tema Region as quickly as possible.
