Roverman goes virtual with ‘the day dad came’

Uncle Ebo and his team from Roverman Productions are set to produce their first online play via YouTube. The play, which is a classic titled ‘The Day Dad Came’ highlights the efforts of a father at saving his daughter from an abusive relationship, and issues that arise from it.

Since 2008, Roverman Productions have produced a new play every quarter, drawing thousands of Ghanaian theatre enthusiasts to the National Theatre. However, since we recorded the first cases of COVID-19 in Ghana, there has been the need to restrict movements and gatherings, as a way to curb it’s spread. This has affected a lot of activities, Roverman being one of the hardest hit.  However, with virtual streaming options like YouTube available, hope is not yet lost.
