Samini marks AU Day with deprived pupils

To mark the African Union Day last Monday, dancehall artiste Samini with his High Grade Family  team spend part of the day with pupils of Enough Grace Complex School, Awoshie.

Samini who was accompanied by artistes Kaakie, Episode and gospel musician Noble Nketia spent about four hours with the children advised them on the need to take their studies very serious stay focused on their education.

The multiple award winner also sang for the children and treated them to a hot meal of jollof and chicken. He lso gave the school an unspecified amount of money.

And to show their appreciation, the pupils the children held a dance and rap competition using Samini’s music. They also recited memory verses from the Bible.

In a short speech, Samini promised to visit the school regularly and also help provide the school with their needs.

“It is surprising to see these lovely children in this state and as a dancehall artiste who has love for children, I promise to visit the school regularly to support the school in my own way.

“I have a foundation which I will be launching soon and I promise to team up with this school to help deprived children here”, he said.

He appealed to corporate bodies and colleague musicians who are yet to do so to emulate the worthy cause and help put smiles on the faces of the needy in society.
