Sarkodie, Ice Prince to perform at BET Awards

Ita official- Ghanaian artiste Sarkodie, Nigeria’s rapper, Ice Prince and pop star Tiwa Savage and South African Afro-pop duo Mafikizolo are coming to the 2014 BET Awards. 

They will take to the stage alongside some of America's biggest acts at the awards. They will perform as part of the "Music Around the Globe" presentation on Saturday 28 June.

This is the first time international acts have performed as part of the BET Experience at L.A. LIVE since the introduction of international BET Award categories, ‘Best International Act: Africa’ and ‘Best International Act: UK’ in 2010. 

With the exception of Ice Prince, all three artists are up for this year's BET Best International Act Africa gong, which Ice Prince is expected to present the accolade.

Ice prince real name Panshak Zamani was nominated twice for the BET Best International act Africa, before eventually taking home the award in 2013.

Other performers already announced include Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams, K. Michelle, Mack Wilds, Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz and Jennifer Hudson. 

The 2014 BET Awards which will be held at the Los Angeles Nokia Theatre will be hosted by comedian Chris Rock.
