Speaking with Graphic Showbiz about the new experience, Joseph Aggrey Cobbinah, CEO of Smully Wear mentioned he was excited to live his dream of taking Ghanaian fashion to a new level with international endorsements.

“It is a privilege and honour to be on this platform in the United States of America. After running Omaha Fashion Week for 15 good years, Smully Wear happens to be the first Ghanaian fashion brand to be on that platform.

“We were able to tell the African fashion story and the feedback and compliments have been substantial”, he said.

“Smully Wear is connecting the world through fashion so everyone should just anticipate and be on the lookout for amazing designs and craftsmanship from us featuring for all seasons— Fall, Spring and Summer”, he said.

Omaha Fashion Week started in 2008 with 12 designers, 20 models and 2,000 attendees and has grown to become the fourth largest organised fashion week event in the USA.

This year, the event celebrated 15 years of runway showcases during the De Ponte Spring 2023 on the theme, Magis, which is “for the greater good.”
