Souls uplifted at Celebration of His Grace

EIGHTEEN years on, and Bernard Amankwah’s annual  Celebration of His Grace has proven that gospel concerts are not measured merely by numbers but by impact.

So on Sunday night, the impact was undeniable: souls uplifted and the National Theatre transformed into a place of true worship.

Gospel lovers who thronged the National Theatre on Sunday, September 21, 2025, will not forget in a hurry the electrifying atmosphere that enveloped Celebration of His Grace concert.

The night was nothing short of spirit-filled excellence, with powerful music, heartfelt worship and an amazing stage set-up.

Starting a little past 6pm, the auditorium was not immediately filled to capacity. But as time went by, the crowd trooped in steadily until the theatre brimmed with excitement.

From the onset, the black-themed outfits of the backing vocalists added elegance and cohesion, giving the stage a striking visual appeal. Their delivery matched the look with energy on point.

The anticipation for the guest artistes was evident. Each time a name was announced, the crowd roared with excitement, unable to stay glued to their seats. Dave De Musicbox, Rodrick Agyekum, and Gina Bancram delivered unforgettable sets, but the highlight for many was when Rev Thomas Yawson and the crowd went crazy.

The headline act himself, Bernard Amankwah also mounted the stage and treated audience to some of his songs including Presence, Remember Me, Holy Are You, I’m Redeemed among others.

Supporting groups such as La Famille, E’M Praise Inc., and the Presence Band brought extra firepower, ensuring the evening flowed seamlessly with no dull moment.

Every performance reflected this year’s theme, drawn from Luke 13:12 “Thou art loosed” as the night became a declaration of freedom, grace and God’s faithfulness.
