‘The Genesis’ is my last album —Paa Dogo

In 2001, rapper Paa Dogo, dropped his debut album, Dogo The Album. 22 years after, he is gearing up for the release of his second one, The Genesis, this year.

However, The Genesis made up of 17 songs which he plans to officially release by end of 2023 will be his last album to close the chapter on his music career.

Meanwhile, he will be releasing a single, African Leaders off The Genesis on March 6. African Leaders talks about corruption and the need for African leaders to fix the numerous economic challenges.

He will subsequently drop the rest of the songs including  Pese Me Nko Me Nya, African leaders, The Last Hero, African Lady, Hustle, Time Is Well, Hit of the Hitless, and The Genesis.

“I will not be doing music again after The Genesis album. I am charting a new path. In fact, I intend to be an international promoter and I have already laid out plans for that.

“My aim is to promote up-and-coming artistes to the top and I have a solid team behind me to do that. This has been my plan for some years now and I am glad to say that everything is on course for my new project,” he told Graphic Showbiz.

 Paa Dogo real name Takyi Raymond Kwaku said doing music for over two decades has built his experience as a promoter.

“I have built strong links in Ghana and beyond to help up-and-coming talented artistes but do not have people around to help them. I will dedicate my time and everything I have to help the young ones because I know how difficult to be down there and not get any help” he noted.

Since his first album Dogo The Album in 2001, Paa Dogo has since had a good time in the game with other songs such as Baby, Osumafour and Odompo, My Corner among others.

 Paa Dogo has worked with musicians like Obrafour, Tinny, Okra Dawidi among others.
