Achieving environmental sustainability; A path towards a greener future
"Unveiling the Urgency and Strategies to Preserve Our Planet." According to the United Nations (UN), climate change is here and the need for environmental sustainability has reached a critical juncture. From rising sea levels to extreme weather events and loss of biodiversity, the consequences of climate change are being felt across the globe and in Ghana.
It is high time we recognize the urgency of the situation and take concerted actions to safeguard our environment for generations to come.

Climate consequences
We as Ghanaians must adapt to climate consequences so we can protect ourselves and our communities. Today, we stand at a pivotal moment in history where our actions will shape the future of our planet. With the stakes higher than ever, it is imperative that we explore sustainable solutions to mitigate and adapt to the pressing environmental challenges we face.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a co-Chair of the Eminent Group of Advocates for UN SDGs has been exemplary in his lead on Environmental Sustainability. Under his leadership, Ghana has adopted Green Ghana Day.
According to the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources in charge of Lands and Forestry, Mr Benito Owusu Bio, the country and for that matter the government would be planting a total of 10 million seedlings across the country whilst nurturing the over 30 million which were planted in 2021 and 2022.

Merson Properties (Ultimo Gardens), an organisation with a great sense of responsibility towards the environment also observed Green Ghana Day in Accra today in line with the objective of the government of Ghana’s to plant 10 million seedlings, to protect the environment and promote biodiversity in the country.
Merson Properties (Ultimo Gardens) believe that environmental sustainability rests on the principle of meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. That, therefore, entails adopting practices that minimize harm to the environment and maximize conservation efforts.
Transitioning to a sustainable future requires a multi-faceted approach that encompasses various sectors of society.

Furthermore, Ultimo Gardens, sources environmentally friendly products for construction. The units address waste management in an essential way to achieve sustainability. This is done through the implementation of a robust recycling program and by encouraging responsible consumer behaviour to minimise waste generation. The project also boasts of car charging ports, water recycling and features to ensure a sustainable green future.
