It’s time to go far!
Many of us have been there. Before the new year, we anticipate what we desire to achieve.
The new year begins and you’re full of positive expectations.

Your goals are written down. You hit a few milestones. It’s all joy from there on. But then, the roadblocks pop up and it’s all downhill. Pause.
What if I told you you can go far with your goals? What if I told you you could stick to those pursuits and make the most out of every situation, no matter how bleak it seems?
Let’s explore three important keys to help you go far in 2025: Focus, Adaptability and Resilience.
Dr Mike Murdock says “Focus is permitting something to master you.” When you’re consumed by something, it’s your waking thought. It’s in your dreams. It’s what you see in everything. It becomes your lens.
Until and unless you boil down all that you intend to do into a single vision that can be outlined in a phrase or sentence, your plans will be splintered in different directions.
You will be distracted. You cannot expend your energies efficiently and you may begin to think, “This is too hard.”

How is it that you have decided to go into ten ventures already as your plan for 2025? How practicable is that? Why not settle on one and give it all you’ve got? For all you know, out of that one, all the others will emerge.
Let that one thing master you. Let it consume you. Let it be the reason you wake up.
Adaptability
With every goal comes obstacles. With every Promised Land comes its giants. With every rose comes its thorns.
The question is: Will you be swayed by those contrary winds? If you seem to be taken off course by uncertainties and challenges, it’s a sign that you have not sufficiently grounded yourself in your focus. Situations may change but the goal must remain the goal.

Let’s say you are used to paying with your card when shopping but this particular vendor can only accept cash because they don’t have a POS device. What would you do in such a situation?
Would you leave the items and buy elsewhere even though you’ve already selected them, or would you find an alternative, like paying with cash?
Make a way even if it seems like it won’t work. You will find yourself in unfamiliar environments from time to time. It’s vital to adapt and ensure it works.

Resilience
The story is told of a donkey that fell into a deep empty well. Its owner was distraught about his donkey’s predicament.
After several attempts to get it out without success, the owner decided to bury the donkey. He got his shovel and started to bury it. With every shovel of sand that got into the well, the donkey shook it off.
This went on for a few hours until the donkey’s owner realised that the donkey was rising above the sand. He eventually got his donkey safe and sound, though a bit injured from the fall.

You may be injured from your toxic work environment or that unsuccessful pitch. But just shake it off. “It’s not that easy,” you may say. That’s true. Neither is quitting.
Quitting is not as easy as many see it to be; it’s losing everything you worked so hard for because you were unwilling to stand strong amid a challenging time.
To the single mother whose son has turned away from those values she taught him, keep praying, keep instructing him in love and keep providing for him. You will be glad he turned out all right because you kept at it.
Make 2025 different with focus, adaptability and resilience. Let’s go FAR together!
