UN Family in Ghana partner Image Bureau and April Communications for Transformative Theatre Experience
When great organisations come together, magic happens.
“Beyond the Walls”, a groundbreaking theatrical production set to take place at the National Theatre on March 29th and 30th, 2025 at 4pm and 8pm each day, is the result of an inspiring collaboration between Image Bureau, April Communications, Joy FM, and the UN Family in Ghana, led by the Joint United Nations Program on HIV and AIDS.
This powerful partnership highlights the importance of using art as a tool for social change, and the result is a play that promises to be both thought provoking and unforgettable.
Written by George Quaye and directed by Naa Ashorkor, “Beyond the Walls” delves into the lives of prisoners and ex-convicts, exploring themes of stigma, redemption, and the struggle for a second chance.

The play is more than just entertainment—it’s a call to action, urging audiences to rethink their attitudes toward those who have been incarcerated and to consider the societal barriers that hinder their reintegration.
This production is proudly supported by UNAIDS, UNESCO, Stanbic Bank, The fair Justice Initiative Joy FM, Nii Plants Car Rentals, the Ghana Tourism Authority, and other key partners, all of whom have recognised the power of this initiative to drive meaningful change.
By bringing together their resources and expertise, these organisations are creating a platform for dialogue, empathy, and understanding.
