The Catholic Church has berated the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for what the church says was a "lackadaisical" in bringing the perpetrators of the "unjustified" brutal attack on three Catholic priests at Nkwanta in the Oti Region on December 11, 2024.

Limit appointment of ministers, deputies at maximum of 55 - Constitutional Review Consultative Committee report
The Constitutional Review Consultative Committee (CRCC), which was tasked to review the 2011 report of the Constitution Review Committee has recommended that there should be an upper limit of ministers and deputy ministers a president of Ghana can appoint.
And this upper limit should be capped at 55.
This means, any person from parliament appointed as a minister of state, should relinquish the parliamentary position.
This was contained in the report of the CRCC, which has been submitted to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Court to rule on NDC's objection to mandamus application on Jan 1
The High Court in Accra has fixed Wednesday January 1, 2025 to rule on the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) preliminary legal objection to the mandamus application seeking to compel the EC to collate the parliamentary results of four constituencies in the December 2024 elections.
Appearing before the court presided over by Justice Forson Baah Agyapong on Tuesday [Dec 31, 2024], counsel for the NDC, Godwin Edudzi Tameklo raised the legal objection to the mandamus application and questioned the jurisdiction of the High Court to hear same.

McDan has defaulted debt payment since 2020 and only paid GH¢2m last week out of over US$3.9 million - Ghana Airports Company
The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has explained that even though McDan Company Limited last week paid GH¢2 million out of the over US$3.9 million debt the company owes, the GACL was insisting on full payment because McDan has defaulted since 2020.
The GACL named McDan's total debt as being US$3,995,622.66 and GH¢13,523.37.
It said it is out of this total debt that the company paid GH¢2 million last week. It added the company has been defaulting since 2020.
