ECOWAS Commission spends US$690,719 on 2022 flood victims in Sierra Leone receive
The ECOWAS Commission says it has spent a total of US$690,719 as humanitarian assistance for some families affected by floods in 2022 in Sierra Leone.

The humanitarian assistance to affected households was launched by the Sierra Leonian government with the ECOWAS Resident Representative in Sierra Leone, Harouna Mousa in attendance.
Sierra Leone’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Kenya Ballay stressed the importance of the ECOWAS humanitarian assistance which will benefit affected persons in eight districts in the country.
The items including food, financial assistance as well as water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) essentials were distributed to the 6000 verified beneficiaries in collaboration with the Achievers Foundation.
