London: Man injured during burglary at Ghana High Commission
A man was rushed to hospital after a burglar broke in to Ghana’s Embassy in Belgravia, London. Members of the public feared the worst after the man, in his seventies, was seen being carried out of the embassy in Belgrave Square, one of the grandest areas of central London.
Three police cars, three police vans and two ambulances were seen at West Halkin Street, next to Belgrave Square, with a police helicopter also circling in a hunt for the suspect of the violent burglary.
A woman who saw the drama unfold, told Express.co.uk: "There is an ambulance and another on the way, the police said.

"There are three police cars and three police vans.
"The body is either just inside or just outside the embassy. We have been told there is someone there but police are being very cagey."
Hundreds of people had gone to the area for a classic car show in Belgrave Square.
Police were called just before 1pm to the Ghana High Commission, quickly followed by paramedics of the LondonAmbulance Service.
A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police told Express.co.uk: “Police were called at approximately 12:53hrs to reports of a break in at the Ghana High Commission Office, SW1X.
“Officers attended.
“A man, believed to be aged in his seventies has been taken to a south London hospital.

"We await an update on his condition.
“Officers arrested a man in his forties at the scene on suspicion of aggravated burglary.”
Express.co.uk contacted the Ghana’s Embassy and London Ambulance service but they were not immediately available for a comment.
