2014 BECE underway

This year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) began throughout the country at 1,437 examination centres.

A total of 422,946 candidates, comprising 223,765 males and 199,181 females are sitting the examination.

The candidates, from 12,562 public and private schools began the examination on the first day with English Language and Religious and Moral Education.

They wrote Integrated Science and Basic Design and Technology on Tuesday and would be writing Mathematics and Ghanaian Language today, Wednesday, June 18. On Thursday the candidates would write Social Studies and French and then end on Friday, June 20 with Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
