JHS students to spend four hours in school

Junior High School (JHS) students will spend only four hours  in school instead of six hours after re-opening from the Covid-19 break.

There will also be no break times for them when they go back to school on June 27, 2020 after months of staying home.

The Central Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mrs Martha Owusu Agyeman, said students must be made to eat properly and healthily before coming to school each day to enable them to concentrate on their studies adding that students would come to school from 9 a.m to 1 p.m without breaks.

Mrs Owusu Agyeman was briefing the Central Regional Minister, Mr Kwamena Duncan, at a meeting of selected heads of department and heads of police commands in the region on preparation by the education directorate for the arrival of the students.

She said the GES was committed to all efforts that would ensure that students were safe as they returned to school, therefore, JHS classes
