Be compassionate, share with others at Christmas: Rev. Obeng

Be compassionate, share with others at Christmas: Rev. Obeng

According to him, it was more uplifting to share with others when one had an opportunity, particularly during this time of Christmas.

In his Christmas message, Rev. Obeng reminded Ghanaians to remember the less privileged as they made merry and ate to their fill.

"Christmas represents the birth of Christ into the world and it shows that God once gifted us with his most treasured asset and so He wants us to share the same love with others whether we eat or drink," Rev. Obeng said.
Peace

The CCC leader asked Ghanaians to maintain peace in the country by living in peace with one another.

He asked that differences in ideas or on national issues should be settled with proper communication and not with violence.
Rev. Obeng asked political actors, especially, to lead the way by conducting themselves in a manner that would exude gentility among their supporters.

He further urged the media to shape discussions on national issues rather than offer their platforms for hate speech and foul language.
"Let's be instruments of peace and continue to use dialogue for whatever issues we may have so that we can guard jealously the atmosphere of tranquillity we have in this nation," Rev. Obeng said.
COVID-19

On the COVID-19 pandemic, the General Overseer of CCC appealed to Ghanaians to avail themselves of the vaccine to protect themselves and their loved ones from the virus.

He said the country had taken delivery of enough vaccines and as such, those eligible should not exempt themselves from undertaking such an important health and safety step.
Prayer

Rev. Obeng prayed for God's favour on Ghana, committed Ghanaians into the hands of God and prayed He prospered their works.
He prayed especially for the leaders of the country for God to grant them more wisdom and courage to take good decisions that would help the poor especially.

"May God bless Ghana and all its leaders including people in authority so that they may come up with good ideas to make Ghana a prosperous nation going into 2022 and beyond," Rev. Obeng appealed to God.
