WHERE TO GO: Comedy, cocktails and connections at SoHo

Lovers of comedy and nightlife in Accra have yet another reason to step out in style as SoHo continues to serve what organisers describe as, “the best comedy show in Ghana.”

According to the Events Manager, Kwame Affum, the monthly comedy night has grown into a must-attend event, blending humour, music and social interaction into one unforgettable experience.

“We have an award as the best comedy show in Ghana. It’s the best because of the variety of performers we bring on board,” he said.

Beyond stand-up comedy, the event features a mix of special acts including singers and dancers, giving patrons more than just laughs.

“It’s not only about comedians. Sometimes we have people who come to sing, sometimes dancers. It’s a full entertainment package,” he explained.

Mr Affum noted that the event, which started about three years ago, had consistently attracted a vibrant and quality audience, creating an avenue for networking.

“The kind of people who attend also makes it special. Aside from the entertainment, you get the opportunity to connect and network,” he added.

Held every first Thursday of the month, SoHo Comedy Night is strategically placed midweek to complement other weekend activities at the venue.

“Weekends are reserved for other programmes, so Thursday works perfectly for us. Patrons can expect pure entertainment, lots of laughter and networking opportunities at each edition, which starts at 7 p.m. ," he said.

He explained that tickets are priced at GH¢100 for regular entry and GH¢200 for VIP. Adding that guests could  also enjoy a wide selection of food and beverages, including cocktails and mocktails, available on order.
For group attendees, Mr Affum advised making reservations in advance to avoid inconvenience.

“If you are coming as a group, it’s important to reserve. Otherwise, you may have to stand,” he cautioned.
