VIDEO: Rev Eastwood Anaba explains why men should thank their wives for sex

Reverend Joseph Eastwood Anaba, Founder and President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries, has made a thought-provoking case for why men should express gratitude to their wives after sex.

Speaking during a teaching session which has been widely circulated on social media, the respected evangelist emphasised the need for mutual satisfaction in marital intimacy and addressed common shortcomings in how men approach their wives' sexual needs.

Rev. Anaba responded to the question, “Why should I thank my wife after sex when we both enjoyed it?” by highlighting the imbalance in enjoyment and effort during sexual encounters in many marriages. According to him, “Many women, and you yourself know what I’m talking about, your wife doesn’t get to that point. Normally, most of the time, it is you [the man].”

He explained that many married women have never experienced an orgasm due to their husbands' lack of understanding of sexual fundamentals, including foreplay and the use of lubricants. He lamented that some men pounce on their wives without proper preparation, leaving them physically and emotionally dissatisfied.

"Has your wife shouted like that before?" he queried, referencing the signs of sexual satisfaction. “If she hasn’t, or you have not seen her behaving abnormal, like somebody who has reached the peak of enjoyment, it means she hasn’t gone through an orgasm. And many women, and you yourself know what I’m talking about, your wife doesn’t get to that point.”

Rev. Anaba further noted that some men are unaware of essential sexual practices, such as the use of KY jelly or the importance of prolonged foreplay to ensure natural lubrication. In his view, men who fail in these aspects should not merely thank their wives but “worship” them for enduring the experience.

“In your case, you should not be thanking her. You should be worshipping her for inflicting injuries on her,” he remarked.

The preacher also highlighted societal norms, stating that men often enjoy sexual relationships more than women and are typically the ones who bear the financial costs of sex. He added, “That is why you should thank her.”
