4 Schools qualify for Ayawaso Basic Scholastica Quiz Competition
Four Schools have qualified for the finals of the Ayawaso Basic Scholastica Quiz Competition.
De Youngsters International School, St Kizito R/C School, Golden Mission
When the four finalists are called to the academic table tomorrow, It will be a contest of fair representation between two public schools—St Kizito and Ring Road East and two private school—De Youngsters and Golden Mission.
Sixteen schools from three constituencies—Ayawaso East, Ayawaso North and Ayawaso Central constituencies started the Quiz on November 5.
They are Nima Presbyterian School, Kotobabi ‘7’ Junior High School (JHS), St Kizito R/C School, De Youngsters School, Nima ‘2’ JHS, Patience Preparatory School, Al Falah Islamic School
The others are Adab Islamic School, Ring Road East JHS, Al Banat School, Al Waleed Islamic School, Golden Mission School, Henrietta Preparatory School
Nima ‘2’ JHS won last year’s competition dismissing stiff competition from Ring Road East JHS.
Speaking to Graphic Online, the President of ZIT,
Expressed satisfaction with the interest and enthusiasm among the participating schools.
“Winning participants also get to go home with packages such as stationery that will be useful to them during the B.E.C.E and also when they enter SHS...There are computers to be won to aid their studies.
“Lastly....it serves as a confidence booster...and the experience is imprinted in the memory of the child...this has a positive net effect to inspire greatness and achievement,” he added.
As part of the initiative, an observation report from the competition will be submitted to the schools and the Ayawaso circuit of the Ghana Education Service detailing the Strengths and weaknesses of the students to help them as they prepare for the BECE
