Knutsford University College wins two international awards
Knustford University College has been awarded the 2021 Global University of the Year Award and the International Award of Global Business Excellence.
The awards were given at this year’s International Sustainability and Growth Summit in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The event was graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Dr Moradeun Ogunlana, a UN ambassador for peace, some influential leaders in the world, educationists and pioneer thinkers.
Academic facilities
The university clinched the feat for its “equitable but affordable university education in Ghana, Africa and across the world”.
The awards were also in recognition of its impressive academic facilities, innovative life-changing programmes, dedicated staff, good governance management structure and highly enriched, conducive learning environment”.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor and Founder of Knutsford University College, Bishop John Kwamena Essel, said the global recognition was a testament of the crucial role private universities played in the country in meeting the educational needs of the people and advancing the cause of national development.
“The global award challenges Knutsford University College to offer more services which are qualitative in content and global in scope so as to project Ghana as the preferred destination for education. We will do our best to meet these lofty expectations, “ Bishop Essel added.
He commended management and the teaching staff of the university who made it possible for the award to materialise.
GJA collaboration
Knutsford University College attracts a lot of students in West Africa and other parts of the world in addition to Ghanaians.
In collaboration with the Ghana Journalists Association ( GJA), Knutsford University College every year runs free, intensive Advanced Diploma programme in Communication and Governance for journalists across the country.
