UCMAS is a unique and scientifically-proven mental development programme designed to help students develop their latent mental power using the abacus as a tool, arithmetic as the evaluation process, and kinesthetic learning as the methodology.

The students, who displayed incredible academic prowess and competitive brilliance amidst intense competition, went home with trophies and medals.

A total of 67 students were drawn from RisingSun Montessori Schools branches—New Bortianor, Dome, and Lashibi—42 of whom excelled at the contest.

Ultimately, Maame Korang Ansah-Oboubi, from the New Bortianor branch, won the top awards: UCMAS World and National Champion, with Loyd Kenson Lamptey emerging as the First Runner-Up.

The competition, which featured over 1,000 students representing all regions, was held at the Pentecostal Convention Center.

The 42 students excelled in categories such as Elementary A, Basic, Direct, and Small Friend, and were awarded trophies and medals.

In an interview with the *Daily Graphic*, the Director of RisingSun Montessori Schools, Patrick Acheampong, said, "The outstanding success of our students reflects their relentless dedication and the steadfast support of our educators and community. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and deeply grateful for the collaborative effort that made this possible."

He continued, "The resounding success of RisingSun Montessori Schools at the UCMAS National Competition stands as a shining example of educational excellence and competitive success. As the school community celebrates this monumental achievement, the future gleams brightly for these young scholars."

Maame Korang Ansah-Oboubi shared her excitement, saying, "Winning at both the national and world levels is a dream come true. I am profoundly grateful for the support from my teachers and family, whose encouragement has been crucial in this journey."

Furthermore, the Coordinator of UCMAS Ghana Limited, Roger Ohemeng, commended RisingSun Montessori Schools for their remarkable achievement. "RisingSun Montessori Schools have set an unparalleled standard of excellence. Their exceptional performance at the national competition underscores their commitment to academic brilliance and the extraordinary capabilities of their students," he said.
