Akufo-Addo leaves for Lome to resolve Togo crisis

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left Accra on Tuesday evening for Lome to facilitate a dialogue aimed at resolving the ongoing political crisis in Togo.

A statement issued by the Jubilee House Communications Directorate said President Akufo-Addo's visit was on the mandate of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

In his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, shall, in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution, act in his stead.
