A united Muslim front, among others, he said, would promote peace and tranquillity across the religious and political divides in the country and also educate Muslim youth against violence and other anti-social activities.

the newly installed Ameer said this when he paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam to introduce himself as the new head of Ahmadis, as well as to welcome the Chief Imam back home from the holy land of Mecca.

Ameer Mohammed Bin Salih commended the National Chief Imam’s  quest to build a harmonious and united muslim front for the peaceful development of the country.

He said he appreciated the love and affection the Chief Imam had for Maulvi (Dr) Abdul Wahab Bin Adam, the predecessor of Ameer Bin Salih, and  the role the Chief Imam played when he  passed away  on June 22, 2014.

Maulvi Bin Salih observed that with a united front, irrespective of the minor differences, muslims in Ghana would be better placed to work together to bring peace and progress to the nation, adding that unity had been the basis and indeed one of the contributing factors to rapid development everywhere in the world.

He also lauded the co-operation between muslims and other religious sects in the country and  called for more understanding among religious groups in the country.

He, therefore, urged school authorities to respect the religious beliefs of their students and not to compel muslim children to abandon their worship to participate in christian worship, against official norms and laid- down regulations of the Ghana Education Service.

The National Chief Imam expressed his gratitude to Ameer Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih for the visit  and commendation.

Sheik Sharabutu assured him and the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in Ghana of his unflinching support.

He prayed for the departed soul of the Maulvi Wahab Adam, as well as Maulvi Bin Salih, saying that Allah should have mercy on Maulvi Salih and grant him long life, wisdom and good health to discharge his duties.
