APC Youth Wing West Africa supports NANS Ghana with GH₵50,000 for Camp Week
The West Africa arm of the All Progressives Congress Youth Wing has donated GH₵50,000 to the National Association of Nigerian Students, Ghana Chapter, to support its upcoming Camp Week programme.
The donation was presented by Gideon Olatunde Igbasan, Director General of the APC Youth Wing West Africa and West Africa Coordinator of Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, during a meeting at the Secretariat in Accra.
According to organisers, the contribution followed a courtesy visit by the leadership of NANS Ghana, during which they outlined their plans and objectives for the student-centred initiative. After deliberations, Mr Igbasan approved the financial support, reiterating the Wing’s commitment to youth development and structured student engagement across the subregion.
Addressing the delegation, Mr Igbasan said the Secretariat would continue to serve as a base for Nigerian students in West Africa and pledged sustained institutional cooperation.
He urged student leaders to focus on academic excellence, unity, discipline and responsible leadership, while ensuring transparency and measurable impact in the execution of their programmes.
Mr Igbasan said the support was consistent with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he noted prioritises youth empowerment, education, enterprise and nation-building within Nigeria and among Nigerians in the diaspora.
Responding on behalf of the students, Mr Gbemileke Kolawole Tabiti, President of NANS Ghana Chapter, expressed appreciation for what he described as timely support.
He assured that the funds would be prudently utilised to ensure a successful Camp Week.
The development highlights ongoing collaboration between youth-oriented political structures and organised student bodies aimed at strengthening Nigerian student representation and leadership capacity within the West African subregion.
