Appoint God-fearing public officials
The Chief Imam of the Masjidul Bayaan Mosque in the Tamale Metropolis, Sheik Ibrahim Basha, has advised the President-Elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to appoint God-fearing ministers and other public officials into his administration.
That, he said, would enable him to execute his campaign promises.

According to him, the success of any government depended largely on the type of people who served in it at a particular time.
Congratulations
Sheik Basha said this at a press conference held at the Masjidul Bayaan Mosque to congratulate the President-elect and the people of Ghana for the successes achieved before, during and after the December 7, presidential and parliamentary elections.
He commended all Ghanaians particularly the various political parties that participated in both the presidential and parliamentary elections for the roles they played in ensuring peaceful polls.
He said the peaceful cooperation between the security agencies and the citizenry contributed significantly in the maintenance of the country’s peace before, during and after the December polls.
Prayers
Sheik Basha, however, prayed to God to continue to protect the country against any form of activity that could derail the country’s peace and stability.
He said without a peaceful atmosphere, it would be impossible for any government to implement its policies for the betterment of the country.

“We pray to you almighty Allah, out of your mercies and bounties, to support the incoming president and his team to fulfil their promises”, he prayed.
Sheik Basha assured the incoming government of a prayer support, saying “we will continue to pray to Allah to support and guide you through the herculean task of chief executive officer of the country”.
