Ashanti Regional Spotlight to be launched in Kumasi on October 29
All is set for the launch of the Daily Graphic’s Ashanti Regional Spotlight in Kumasi tomorrow.
Put together by the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), the Regional Spotlight is being used by the Daily Graphic, Ghana’s biggest selling newspaper, to showcase the rich resources of the country’s regions, and what they have in store for national development.
The Kumasi event will be held at the Evans-Anfom Auditorium at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

It will be the sixth since the Regional Spotlight series was launched.
Already Upper West, Volta, Western, Eastern and Bono regions had taken their turns.
Protocols
The Ashanti Region event will be held under strict COVID-19 protocols, and the management of the GCGL is leaving nothing to chance to ensure a successful event.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, will perform the official launch, while the Managing Director of the GCGL, Mr. Ato Afful, will give the welcome address with the Editor of the Daily Graphic, Mr. Kobby Asmah, also delivering an address.
Peace campaign
In the coming weeks to the December 7 general election, the management of the GCGL will use the occasion to launch its peace campaign in the region.
In that context, there will be messages on peace from various groups.
