Ataabadze junction near Elmina vehicular accident claims five lives
Five people died and others got injured when the vehicles they were travelling with was involved in an accident at Ataabadze junction near Elmina in the Central Region on Sunday morning.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident which happened some minutes before 7 am.

The vehicles involved in the accident are a Mercedes Sprinter mini bus, a Man Diesel articulated truck and a Howo tipper truck with registration numbers GR 6081-18, GW 5416-24 and GB 1592-22 respectively.
The Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) DOIII Abdul Wasiu Hudu told Graphic Online that the GNFS received the distress call about the accident at 6:49 am.
He said the GNFS rescue team extricated one of the drivers, and three passengers were confirmed dead at the Cape Coast Teaching hospital on arrival.
The fire service team also on their arrival at the scene met two bodies covered with cloth.
According to him, preliminary investigations indicated that the Sprinter bus was traveling from Cape Coast side towards the Western Region while the two other trucks were traveling in the opposite direction when they collided.
He said the cause of the accident was not immediately known adding that the police had taken over the investigation.
