Projects

The Secretary to the Council of Tribal Chiefs in the area, Mr Alex Mustapha, said the establishment of the  Awutu Senya East Municipality with its headquarters in Kasoa was a promise that had been fulfilled by the President.

He mentioned the construction of the Kasoa interchange and the ongoing construction of link roads in the municipality, and thanked the President for the projects.

He also pointed to the renovation and upgrading of the Kasoa Health Centre into a modern polyclinic, as well as the approval given for the construction of a senior high school in Kasoa.

Mr Mustapha also alluded to the planned expansion of the Kasoa highway into a three-tier lane and the construction of a major road from Kasoa to Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region.

“We sincerely thank you for your periodic interaction with the chiefs and people of the municipality since you assumed the presidency of this country,” he added.

Mr Mustapha, on behalf of the chiefs, pledged their total support for the government and the development of the municipality in particular and the country at large.

Chief of Staff

Responding, Mr Prosper Bani, who received the delegation on behalf of the President, expressed appreciation to the chiefs for recognising the good work of the President and reaffirmed the President’s commitment to deliver on his campaign promises to the people.

He said the President, after two years in office, had strived to fulfil the promises he made to the people of Kasoa and the generality of Ghanaians, and  the government would work harder to make life easier for the people.

Mr Bani asked the chiefs and people of Awutu to keep their environment clean and also protect the peace they were currently enjoying in their respective communities.
