Barclays Bank sponsors GUSA games
The Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) has secured GH¢63,400 from Barclays bank towards the 23rd edition of the GUSA Games scheduled for Cape Coast today.
The competition, expected to end on June 22, 2014, will see all seven public universities competing in 10 sporting disciplines.
Aside the nine traditional games such as soccer, volley, athletics, tennis and basketball, the organisers have introduced Goal ball- a game reserved for the visually impaired -to ensure they are not cut out of the competition.
This is the first time that the games, reserved for only public universities, have attracted sponsorship in Barclays Bank - the head line sponsor - and Promasidor Ghana limited.
